Our film negative scanning technicians
use both sophisticated equipment coupled with advanced software technology to achieve the best possible result. During the scanning process we hand clean the film negatives and remove imperfections and blemishes caused by dust and scratches.
Your
Film negatives are scanned by default at 2000 dpi which allows you to print photos up to 8x10" but you will have the option to increase the dpi to 3,000 or 4,000 which will significantly increase the quality of your photos and allow you to print poster size images.
Your film negatives will be output to either a JPEG file or a TIFF file depending on your preference.
Once your order is complete
you will receive a download link that will be active for 60 days so that you can download all of your scanned film negatives to your laptop, computer or external hard drive. If it was your choice to receive a USB drive with your order, we will send that to you with shipment tracking upon order completion.
Unless you request that your film negatives be returned to you,
we dispose of your film negatives at our facility - we keep your film negatives in storage for 60 days after your order is completed. If you need to request a rescan of a film negative and need to use our photo restoration service, you can do so within 60 days of order completion.
